Why I Founded Roots and Joy
I remember my many journeys to Greece vividly. Every year, I searched for truly great olive oil – and yet, I was never satisfied. Where could one find authentic, high-quality olive oil? And how could I recognize it?
It wasn’t until an expert immediately spat out a supposedly “fine” oil that I realized: I had been misled. But that moment sparked my passion.
Soon after, I met a Greek family who showed me how to recognize real quality. For the first time, I tasted the freshness, the rich aromas, the peppery bite – and I was captivated.
Since then, my goal has not been just to sell olive oil, but to create experiences: that unforgettable aha moment when you taste true olive oil for the very first time.

We believe that discovering real olive oil is a moment of wonder, a connection to nature, tradition, and truth. Our mission is to share that experience with the world, to make exceptional olive oil not just accessible, but meaningful. We want to help people taste the difference, understand the story behind it, and feel the joy that comes from something truly genuine.
Since 2021, I've been producing our own olive oil and bringing it to Germany. In 2024, I founded my own brand Roots and Joy.
